Katie Thetford was raised in Salem, the capital of Oregon.  She grew up an avid equestrian, showing hunters/equitation on the “A” circuit in the Northwest. 

At Sprague High School in Salem, Katie excelled in English (writing) and art (drawing), while continuing her horseshow riding and competing, training 5 days a week with a well known hunter/jumper barn. 

At Oregon State University, Katie earned her degree in Business Administration, with emphasis in Accounting.  She particularly enjoyed Sociology, Anthropology, History, Drawing and Design.  In Accounting, she excelled in Audit and Tax.

After college Katie bought a home on Whidbey Island, Washington, and got married.  She currently has a special Belgian Warmblood/Thoroughbred mare and is in Dressage training. 

Katie joined Bauer Evans after college in 2005.  As a Staff I Accountant, she focuses on Tax Return Preparation, Financial Statement Compilation, and Auditing.  She is currently studying for her four-part CPA exam, hoping to be certified by the end of 2007.
